THE IMPORTANCE OF SLEEP IN REJUVENATING AND RECHARGING YOUR BODY

It is absolutely vital to get proper amount of sleep and have your body fully rested if you want optimal health, optimal energy levels, and to lose weight. Your body needs time to rejuvenate and recharge.

The ideal time to sleep is to go to bed at 10 pm and arise by 6 am. There are several reasons for this. The cycles of the earth's rotation around the sun and moon  causes the body to rest better during these hours than at any other time. This is why people who work night-shift have been shown to be more depressed,  more over weight, more tired, and have more illness and disease than other people. Also, the body secretes healing hormones during the times between 10 pm and 2 am. Therefore, if you are a person that goes to sleep very, very late, you are not giving your body the proper amount of hours it needs to secret hormones that will rejuvenate, recharge and refresh your body.



The three fundamentals of rest and sleep are:

1. When you go to bed. If you go to bed late, even though you are getting a full eight hours sleep, you are not doing your body good because those healing hormones can only be released between 10 pm and 2 am. It is absolutely vital that you are sleeping during those hours as often as possible. So, the time in which you sleep is important.

2. The second most important thing is the number of hours a person should sleep. Eight hours is the optimal amount of time a person should sleep. One of the simplest things people can do  to boost their immune system and allow the body to heal itself is getting proper rest.

3. The next issue that comes up is, what do you sleep on? There are two considerations here. The first is the type of mattress and sheets you are using, and the second is the quality of air that is in the room. Sleep on good quality mattress and used 100 %  natural cotton bedsheets.
